- A GST invoice with the model and muzzle energy, and a written warranty.
- Spare parts — seals, springs and sights should be available after the sale.
Is an air gun legal in Delhi?
Yes. Under the Arms Rules 2016, only air weapons above 20 joules and/or with a bore larger than .177 inch need a licence, so a .177 air pistol or air rifle under 20 joules needs none — in Delhi or anywhere in India. It must be sold by a licensed air-weapon dealer who records the buyer’s identity and residence proof. Source: MHA — FAQs on the Arms Rules 2016. State detail: Is an air gun legal in Delhi?
Carry it in a closed case and never in view in public. Never point it at a person — that is criminal intimidation under BNS Sections 351–352, and causing hurt falls under Section 118. Never shoot birds or animals; they are protected under the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972. An air gun is a sporting and training tool, not a self-defence weapon.
Most Delhi NCR buyers live in flats or builder floors. A 10-metre indoor lane with a pellet trap works for pistol practice; check your RWA rules before setting one up. Setup guide: air pistol home practice.
