Questions about the Star RX Gen 3
What is the price of the Star RX Gen 3 in India?
The Star RX Gen 3 costs ₹25,000 on camstarsports.com, bought direct from the maker with free pan-India delivery.
Do I need a licence to buy the Star RX Gen 3 in India?
No. The Star RX Gen 3 is a .177" (4.5mm) airgun operating under 20 joules, which makes it non-licensed under the Indian Arms Rule 2016. Valid ID and address proof are required at purchase.
Is the Star RX Gen 3 the cheapest CO₂ pistol in India?
Yes. At ₹25,000 it is the cheapest CO₂ pistol at any Indian airgun dealer. The other Indian-made one, the Aerosoft X1, is listed by retailers at about ₹36,000; the cheapest imported CO₂ pistol in stock is an entry-level BB pistol at ₹29,900, and most imports cost ₹45,000 or more. It is also the only CO₂ pistol in India sold with a 12-month manufacturer warranty.
How powerful is the Star RX Gen 3?
It is a .177 (4.5 mm) CO₂ pistol that fires pellets at about 400 fps with under 5 joules of muzzle energy: right for paper targets and plinking, and well inside the 20-joule no-licence limit. It is a sport pistol, not a self-defence weapon.
Which pellets and CO₂ cylinders does the Star RX Gen 3 use?
Any .177 (4.5 mm) diabolo pellets and standard 12 g CO₂ cylinders. Camstar sells Star Match Diabolo pellets (300 per tin) and 12 g CO₂ cylinders in packs of five. One cylinder gives roughly 30–60 shots, depending on temperature and how fast you shoot.
Is the Star RX Gen 3 a Glock?
No. It is Camstar's own CO₂ air pistol with a Glock-style frame, so Camstar's Glock-style stands and mounts fit it. It is not made by or affiliated with Glock, and it is an air pistol, not a firearm.
What is the velocity and magazine capacity of the Star RX Gen 3?
Muzzle velocity is 400 fps. Magazine capacity is 8 shots x 4. Maximum power: Under 5 Joules.

Great gun
Good product with only manufacturers in India and genuine warranty
Excellent Build Quality
Received my STAR RX Gen 3 in perfect condition. The metal finish feels premium and the pistol has a solid weight in hand. Packaging was secure and delivery was on time. Very satisfied with the purchase.
Best CO2 pistol in India
I have used many air pistols before but the RX Gen 3 is on another level. The semi-auto firing is buttery smooth and the 32-round magazine means I barely stop to reload during practice sessions. Accuracy at 10 metres is excellent.
Worth every rupee
Bought this after watching countless YouTube videos. The build quality is solid — feels premium in hand. Titanium finish looks stunning. CO2 cylinders last a good 50+ shots at comfortable pace. Highly recommended for serious shooters.
Incredible semi-auto action
The double action trigger is crisp and consistent. I compete in 10m air pistol and this is my daily trainer. Groupings are tight at 10m. Customer support from Camstar was also very helpful when I had a query.
My first serious airgun — zero regrets
Was nervous spending this much on my first proper airgun but it exceeded all my expectations. The multiple colour options are a bonus — went with Coyotatin and it looks gorgeous. Shooting feels natural and fun.
Excellent pistol with minor notes
The RX Gen 3 is a fantastic piece of engineering. Semi-auto is addictive. Only minor gripe is that CO2 cylinders are consumed a bit fast in cold weather but that is expected with any CO2 gun. Overall a 5-star product.
Perfect for target practice
Set up a 10m range in my backyard and this pistol is perfect. The illuminated rear sight helps a lot. Build quality rivals imported brands at a fraction of the price. Proud to own a made-in-India product of this quality.
Superb accuracy out of box
No need to tweak anything — straight out of the box this pistol shoots tight groups. The rotary magazine design is clever and very reliable. Zero misfires in 500+ pellets. Camstar has really raised the bar.
Great product, fast delivery
Delivery was quicker than expected and the packaging was very safe. The pistol itself is excellent — solid metal construction, smooth trigger, and the Limited Edition Golden finish is a head turner at the range. Very happy.
My club members are jealous
Brought this to our shooting club and everyone wanted to try it. The semi-auto action got a lot of attention. Accuracy and build quality left everyone impressed. Three of my club members have ordered one since.
India ka best CO2 pistol
Compared this with imported options and the RX Gen 3 stands tall. The price is very competitive and the performance is top notch. I practice 30 minutes every evening and this pistol handles it effortlessly.
Fantastic gift for my son
Bought this as a birthday gift for my son who is training for state-level competition. His coach was impressed with the trigger consistency. The Camo edition looks very cool and he loves it.
Solid performance, great fun
A thoroughly enjoyable pistol to shoot. The semi-auto mechanism works flawlessly and the magazine change is quick. Docking one star only because I wish it came with extra magazines in the box. Otherwise perfect.
